We are a Family Business

Harland Electric, Inc. is a family owned and operated electrical contractor that was started by Bill Harland, Jr. in March 1996. Bill was hired by the Littleton Fire Department as a fulltime Firefighter/EMT in August of the same year, causing him to expand and hire his Uncle Lee at Harland Electric the following spring.

Andy Harland joined his brother in the family business in 2001, earned his Journeymans license in 2005 and his Masters license in 2007. Andy also worked in the fire service from 2010 until 2023 when he retired as an on call Lieutenant from the Ayer Fire Department.

Both brothers had the privilege of serving the surrounding communities and are proud to be part of three generations dedicated to the fire service.

Harland Electric’s dedication to service hasn’t changed since the beginning. We believe in providing high quality installations to both homeowners and commercial customers. We believe that our honesty and integrity puts us at the front of our trade because we genuinely care about the people we work for. With strong roots in public safety, we continue to build up our community and strive keep our customers safe.

In April 2024, Bill retired and sold the business to his brother Andy. As the company founder, Bill continues to work with the company part time and takes pride in the company that he has worked so hard to build.

Andy Harland will continue to carry on the family business. Andy has been running the company as vice president for the past 15 years and is excited for the future of the company. Our company consists of three licensed electricians, three apprentices, Andy and Bill Harland and 4 office staff. Not only do we treat our employees as family, we extend that same goodwill towards our customers and the community as a whole.

We are Licensed in MA and NH

Licensure in your home state ensures that electrical services are installed within your town’s code. This prevents possible lawsuits – or worse – fires and damage to your home or loved ones. In order to stay fully licensed, our electricians take regulated courses in electrical code and practices – 4 years (8000 hours) of hands on training and 600 hours of school.

We carry both liability and workman’s compensation insurance plans. These financial tools protect your home against the possible risks associated with electrical wiring service.
